Cholera Outbreak in Haiti
Still reeling and recovering from a devastating earthquake in January 2010, Haiti was hit hard again in October — this time, with an outbreak of cholera. Joining Radio Rounds again is Partners in Health physician Dr. Evan Lyon, who discusses the cholera outbreak and its impact on Haiti.
Dr. Lyon has worked extensively in Haiti, most recently at the central hospital in Port-au-Prince. He has been an integral component of the emergency earthquake relief effort provided to Haiti by the Partners in Health organization.
