Vital Signs

Vital Signs magazine: “Radio Rounds gets around”

An interview with hosts Avash Kalra and Lakshman Swamy, following the conclusion of Season One. Find out their motivation for developing Radio Rounds, their greatest challenges, and their thoughts on past guests of the show.

The publication followed up with another interview, published in a Spring 2010 article entitled “Radio Rounds hits the big-time” — in which the ‘Rounds’ crew describes the growth of the show through the first three seasons, while also highlighting memorable past guests of the program.

WYSO Weekend

On February 28, 2010, Executive Producer Shamie Das appeared on the WYSO Weekend program, aired on WYSO 91.3 FM and hosted by Julie Fromholt.

In this interview, which you can hear here, Das showcases the work of Partners in Health physician Dr. Evan Lyon, who worked extensively in Haiti following the January 2010 earthquake catastrophe.

Modern Healthcare

In October, 2009, the Radio Rounds team performed a live-audience talk show at a regional American Medical Students Association conference in Chicago, Ill. Our special guest was U.S. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, who told the audience of 400+ medical students that health care reform would indeed pass.
